Rules

*Leadline, WT, and Novice classes:

  • Cannot cross-enter into Jackpot or age division classes on the same horse.
  • Different horse/rider combinations are allowed.
  • Example: 1 horse for novice, another horse for age group, and another for jackpot.
  • Rider must ride the same horse in their division.
  • Time restrictions apply to Novice Classes*.
  • We will be watching WT/Novice classes closely.  If the horse/rider can consistently lope patterns, they will be reclassified to the age group.  These will be truly novice classes.
  • If a participant is moved up from WT/Novice classes (too fast to compete in that division) to Age Group, points will be awarded based on time placing in the age group division.

*Daily High Point:

  • Champion and Reserve awards for each division, ribbons down to 6th. Membership not required for daily High Point winners.
  • Membership is required for the end-of-series prizes.

*End-of-Series:

  • Membership required
  • Points will be calculated by Rider. Rider may ride a different horse per show, but may NOT change horses in the same show date for different events. (Riders can earn daily high point on more than 1 horse).
  • Divisions are Leadline, WT, Novice, Age Group, Open, and Jackpot.
  • 14+ Champions from previous series must move to open/pro class the season following win from Summer and/or Winter Series Previous if didn't compete in prior series.
  • Novice Champions from previous series must move to age group the Summer and/or Winter season following win.
  • Highest Points Wins (NO dropped shows), must show in at least 3 of 5 shows to win or more than half of offered shows.
  • A rider may PURCHASE ONE MISSED show average from points averaged at the end of the series. **This must be completed and paid prior to end of the missed show date.
  • Purchased missed show averaged points will be used as a placeholder throughout the series and may fluctuate based on subsequent show point averages.
  • Final points for missed show will be averaged from all attended shows at the finish of series.
  • Membership required
  • Complete 5 volunteer hours for each discipline, up to 15 max for individual or 15 for family.
  • Riders will be given 1 point per horse-rider combo for the day for attendance.
  • Volunteer hours can be purchased for $25 per hour and must be received within 24 hours of the last show of the series.  You may only purchase up to half of the time you are required for your award.

*Jackpot

  • Jackpot Entry Fees are cash only, not included in the daily max out
  • Times for Jackpot and Age group will be rolled unless declared prior to show start.
  • Professional Riders cannot enter the age group division and must compete in Jackpot or Open classes.
  • Jackpot will pay out percentages to the fastest 2 riders in each event.

*Class Fees:

  • Novice/Age Group Classes $15 per class for members/$18 per class for non-members, payments can be made for these classes by cash, check, Paypal, or Zelle at the show.
  • All fees must be paid prior to the show. No refunds unless show is cancelled due to weather.
  • $250 per household max out (does not apply to Jackpot)
  • Jackpot Classes are $20 per event (cash only)

*Office Fees:

  • $10 if not pre-registered

Attire/Tack:

  • Helmets are required for anyone under the age of 18 (insurance requirement).  All riders are encouraged to wear a helmet.
  • Heeled boots are required for all participants.
  • Tack for horses should be Western tack (horses must have a pad, saddle, and bridle/halter for Leadline).
  • Whips/Crops are permitted (Show chairs reserve the right to determine excessive use, which can be cause for DQ).

*Show chairs have the right to reclassify any competitor depending on performance (time restriction), and make any and all necessary changes to ensure fair competition. All show chair decisions are FINAL.

**Any unsportsmanlike conduct toward other competitors or show chairs can be cause for immediate removal from the show, loss of show/series points, inability to compete the rest of series, and/or dismissal from the club.
